
These trees have been around in the Schlosser front yard for over 35 years. Lately they've been causing some issues with their sewer line. Namely, their combined 3-4 tonnes of weight has crushed the pipe into a diameter of less than 2 inches.

So, while we were back their over Easter holidays the trees had to be downed.


Jim and Betty hired a "specialist" to do the job. It's complex and dangerous. Check out the dude in the tree as it's being streamlined!


It also causes quite a mess to clean up.


And by the end of the chopping, the lot looks completely different!
Goodbye to the graceful spruce trees that once towered above this yard!
